What organ is considered the best for DNA extraction?

The spleen is an excellent organ for DNA extraction due to its role in producing and storing lymphocytes, which are key components of the immune system. It has a rich supply of blood and contains a high concentration of white blood cells, making it a prime source of genetic material. Compared to other organs, the spleen provides a better yield of DNA, as the DNA is less likely to be degraded and is available in a purer form, particularly from individuals with intact immune systems.

The liver, while another important organ for various biological processes, is involved in metabolism and detoxification rather than primarily housing lymphocytes, hence it may not provide the same quality and quantity of DNA as the spleen. Bone marrow is indeed a source of DNA as it produces blood cells, but the process of extracting DNA from bone marrow can be more invasive and complex.
